Principal/Associate – Commercial Project Manager

A Project Manager is required to join an expanding Management Services team in Scotland from where a full multi skilled consultancy service is delivered to the Construction and Property market from the Edinburgh and Glasgow office. The Management Services business delivers consultancy services to a wide range of clients nationally with particular emphasis on long-term framework agreements with the public sector. Services offered include:
- Project Management
- Property Management
- Facilities Consultancy
- Building Surveying
- Dispute Resolution
- Due Diligence
- Health and Safety
- Cost Management
Applicants will be responsible for managing/administering Capital Projects under minimal supervision. Projects are generally Construction related and the role typically includes Client Representative, Employers Agent or Project Manager.
Qualifications:
- Ideally professionally qualified (likely to be RICS, MCIOB, CEng, RIBA, MAPM or similar).
- A post graduate Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2) would be an advantage.
Personal Qualities:
Excellent communication skills with confident leadership qualities.
Ability to gain the confidence of clients and colleagues by forming strong relationships.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate relevant experience in delivering projects in the private sector with good IT capability.
Applicants should have a construction or Property background with a general understanding of the current statutory legislation.
Previous experience of business development with strong contacts and the ability to network in the private and public sectors is advantageous.
