Project Manager (Rail)

A consultancy rated as one of the top 5 business' they specialise in property and infrastructure services to both the public and private sectors. Operating all over the UK, with services including project and cost management, transport planning, environmental consultancy, design, engineering and construction management.

The vacancy is for a project engineer / manager to support the rail engineering team in the management of railway related projects.

The candidate will preferably be chartered and have a sound Engineering / Project Management background.

Requirements

• Engineering / Construction related degree.
• Chartered or pursuing chartership of a relevant institution (MIStructE/MICE/MRICS/MCIOB).
• Computer literate and familiar with project management software e.g. Primavera or Microsoft Project.
• Experience of working on rail projects.
• Clean UK driving license.
• Good standard of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of Network Rail and/or London Underground standards and approvals processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and set out the deliverables at each stage of the project.
• Develop and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Oversee the delivery of a scheme through feasibility, detailed, tender and construction stage.
• Use project controls to manage cost, programme and deliverable.
