Senior Electrical / ICA Engineer (HV/Water)

Description:

A Senior Electrical/ICA Design Engineer is required by a large PLC Infrastructure Consultancy to work within the Utilities Sector MEICA team on energy, water and wastewater related projects.

Preparation of bids, technical reports, electrical/HV design calculations, contract specifications, costings and schedules for:

  • CHP and biomass energy centre plants
  • District heating systems
  • Pumping plant and associated control system
  • Water and wastewater treatment process
  • Food waste and sewage sludge digestion

Technical lead role on small to medium sized projects with direct client contact and responsibility to deliver technical excellence and exceed client expectations.

Opportunity to project manage MEICA led projects comprising multi-disciplinary teams.

Promote highest H&S standards and ensure designer’s duties under CDM Regulations are met.

Attend manufacturers’ premises to inspect and check plant for compliance with contract requirements.

Attend construction sites for inspection of installed systems, trouble shooting and identification of remedial requirements. Assist in the commissioning and setting to work of new plant and determining operation and maintenance requirements

Depending on the project location the role will require travel and temporary placements throughout UK and overseas.
