Description:

For this position, you'll be working in the overground rail engineering team of a leading name in the industry. This particular department deals with client interfaces, aids in the preparation of design work and then liaises with the client regarding any comments, changes or additional work required. The team also carry out design and compliance verification through inspections and liaison with the testing and commissioning team.


As Engineering Manager (Overground Rail), you will be responsible for making sure all engineering work is implemented in accordance with client requirements, from design to construction, testing, commissioning and final handover. You will plan and manage these design, testing and commissioning activities for projects under your control.


The procedures you implement must be in line with company policies. You'll liaise with other engineering departments (attending regular meetings to review progress) and make sure your team have the resources to carry out their job effectively. In addition, you will also ensure that installations comply with designs and that testing and commissioning plans are safe and efficient.


You must have a background in the testing and commissioning of AC and DC electrical infrastructure equipment and you're degree qualified (or equivalent) in electrical engineering with an understanding of Network Rail standards and CDM regulations.
