You'll be engaged on rail related projects concerned with power supplies, acting as the Commissioning Manager on a permanent basis. You'll be expected to ensure that work is completed in accordance with specifications set out during the design stage by drawing up testing and commissioning plans and strategies. You will co-ordinate the witnessing and testing, making sure any errors are reported.

You'll make sure the above can be continually monitored through regular meetings and reviews of requirements and procedures.
To be considered, you must have a background working in the commissioning of electrical systems for the railways. Therefore, an appreciation of DC and AC electrification systems is essential, as is the ability to manage staff. You should possess a thorough knowledge of Network Rail and LUL standards and CDM regulations. Furthermore, you can display a strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental issues relating to the railway industry.
