Calco Services are currently working to supply professional engineering staff to this world leading Energy Generation, Transmission and Distribution Company, supplying power to millions of private and business customers across the UK.
The Quality of Supply Manager will become an integral part of Asset Management Team. Reporting to the Networks Strategy and Performance Manager, the Quality of Supply Manager will lead the development of Quality of Supply strategies and prioritise, coordinate and monitor the implementation of Quality of Supply improvement programmes ensuring regulated targets and business performance objectives are met. This will involve analysing and forecasting fault trends, assessing alternative quality of supply strategies, targets and solutions, evaluating and introducing appropriate technology and implementing effective Quality of Supply performance metrics.
The Quality of Supply Manager should be a Graduate Electrical Power Engineer with a qualification (Degree or similar) leading to MIET or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
The Quality of Supply Manager should have extensive experience along with technical understanding of the principles of distribution engineering design and operation. In addition a good understanding of the regulatory framework under which distribution companies operate and in particular the requirements of Ofgem’s QoS targets
The Quality of Supply Manager must be able to show the strength to apply risk management principles and techniques along with long run financial appraisal techniques, including incremental cost benefit, risk and DCF analysis.
An awareness of current and technological developments in distribution plant and equipment is required along with working knowledge of distribution code requirements associated with planning and design.
