Step off the urban treadmill with a move to this award-winning Architectural and Town Planning Consultancy that combines rural regeneration and restoration with the preservation of England’s heritage. Based in the heart of the Hampshire, the practice has evolved to recognise increased demand for the provision of expertise on matters of Sustainability. The practice provides a Sustainability Services to developers, care operators, registered social landlords, contractors and manufacturers. The quality of advice is such that demand continues to grow and to this end they need to expand the division with the appointment of a skilled, experienced Sustainability Consultant, well-versed in the key concerns of this legislative and demand-driven sector.

The Sustainability Consultant will be providing expertise to sustainability consultancy for all stages of development from planning, through technical information to construction. Strong management skills are important as the position is likely to involve supervision and co-ordination of more junior members of the Sustainability department.

The ideal candidate for the position of Sustainability Consultant should come from an Architectural, Urban Design, Architectural Technician or Sustainability background.

The Sustainability Consultant would need to demonstrate initiative and skills in independent working with minimal supervision and be a strong communicator, as the role will involve liaising with clients, consultants and local planning authorities. Excellent knowledge of planning and construction is key. Good written skills, including experience of preparing sustainability reports for planning applications are important.

Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications in your field of expertise - Architecture, Urban Design, Sustainability

Licensed Assessor for some or all of the following. Additional training will be provided where required:

  • Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor
  • BREEAM Multi – Residential
  • BRE – SBEM Assessor
  • NHER – SAP Assessor
  • EcoHomes Assessor
  • Other BREEAM Assessor
Salary Negotiable up to £35000 per annum
