A leading consultant in railway engineering has an exiting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Senior Electrification Design Engineer with at least 7 to 15 years experience, to work on the design and checking of railway electrification projects, both 3^rd Rail and overhead line.

The Railway Electrification Principal Design Engineer will hold commercial and technical responsibility for specific assigned projects within the function group.

The Railway Electrification Principal Design Engineer will be responsible for design of railway electrification projects, delivery of project work without supervision, supervising and checking the work of junior engineers, project management of small projects, as well as being a member of a larger team delivering medium to large size projects.

The Railway Electrification Principal Design Engineer will also be responsible for quality of service delivery and commercial performance for all projects and interfacing with clients.

The Railway Electrification Principal Design Engineer will have an experience of 3^rd Rail and overhead line design and production, along with experience in electrification plans, catenary, 3^rd Rail substations.

The Railway Electrification Principal Design Engineer will prepare outline project specifications, interface and design specifications, earthing and bonding plans and EMC studies, along with site surveys and equipment specifications. The Railway Electrification Principal Design Engineer will also have a working knowledge of Railway Electrification Standards and appropriate legal requirements. Previous experience of successfully managing a team is essential for this position.
